What a weekend...I can't remember what I posted last! It was a good weekend...sad but good. Being together with my family helped so much.
Sunday...I went to church with my Aunt "B" and Karen. It was kind of melancoly to be there. Sad...I remember as a kid going to church with my Grandparents. Grandpop had a system set up in on of the rooms with his sound system and recorded the services. I would sit with Grandmom and she would have all kinds of goodies stashed in her purse. It brought a smile to my face. The service was good. Glenn spoke of how God is present in our lives. He is everywhere. How true is that?! I went with Aunt "B" to help load up Karen and take her home. Karen was teary eyed in church, I just put me arm around her. I'm sure she is going to be sad for awhile. She lives in a one bed room apartment that needs some decorating!! Look out trading spaces...the troops will be landing when we take some of the things to her from Gran's house. I gave her a purple down comforter that I had given to Grandmom a few Christmas's ago and you would have thought I gave her a million bucks! I told her that I wanted her to have it and that when she curled up with it she could remember Gran. It brought tears to her eyes.
I stayed and visited with my Aunt for awhile and then headed home to conquer my laundry...yikes! :) Jeff came over and we headed to Canton so that he could by some waders for his fishing float tube to go fishing on Monday with his dad. After that we went and played putt-putt with Mitchell. We had a good time.
Monday we went to Dad's for a cookout with my brother and his "friend" and my Aunt came up. It was very nice. We even used Grannie's dishes that Dad "welcomed" himself to!! LOL!! A family inside joke! :) Okay...I'll share...I remembered Gran having these little juice glass that had oranges on them. I looked thru the cupboards and I said "okay, who swiped the glasses" and my aunt said that we aren't saying that, everyone is welcomed to everything. I said "okay, who welcomed themselves to the glasses?!" we howled. That was the running joke of the night.
Well...back to work...I'll post more later...sorry for any grammer errors or run-on sentences...no time to double check! LOL!!
