TGIW!

Ah, I love Wednesdays. I don't know why? I think it's the middle of the week and it only two days left and it's the weekend. WOOHOO! I'm weird what can I say. :)

Gosh, I've got lots of things rattling around in my brain today. Let's see...to start my morning off today, I woke up late which did not make me very happy so of course you run around like a maniac, the cats look at you like - whoa lady...slow down! :) I just felt blah all day but then I got done with work at 3:30 so that perked me right up! HA!

Had a great show last night! My hostess was so sweet, we had a great chit chat while getting everything together. I love those moments where I'm not rushing around and you can visit and do a little bonding. She had great guests, we had a ball. They asked so many questions about old product. I've got to get on the website and research. She booked a party for August. So YAY!

Next month I'll find out what's coming for spring/summer!! Yippee!! Regionals or TS on tour is coming to Columbus...can't wait can't wait! I need regenerized. I'm just in a funk. Oh well, skys going to clear up put on a happy face... :)

I'm really getting hooked on the blogging stuff...fun fun! My friend at work talked me into subscribing to Google Reader, very cool plus then they recommend sites...so cool for the technically challenged. :)

I had to catch up last night on AI and NCIS (thank goodness for DVR!) - please help me understand why everyone can't get it in their head that when they ask you to stop singing STOP SINGING! For those friends out there that encourage their friends to go thru and embarass themselves in front of millions of people, shame on you! THEN they've got to fuss and cuss at the camera. I just want to yell - GET OVER IT! Anyhoo these are my favorite episodes. :-) Come on Hollywood!

Hollywood - in a manner of speaking...Heath Ledger...how sad, how terribly sad. What a waste, he was such a muffin. I feel so bad for his family, his daughter, his ex. I hope they can find peace. Say a prayer.

Last night on the way home I was listening to Everday Foods on the Martha Stewart channel on Sirius (LOVE my sirius...thank you my love) and they were talking about foods that remind of years past or like a family tradition - good or bad memory. This got me thinking of my family. Mind you, it's very small. I have one cousin on my Dad's side, two on my Mom's, My Aunt B (Dad's only sister)..love you! My Aunt J passed away in '89. Miss her...anyhoo...while my Gran was alive our menu (since I was a kid and I'm old!) was either Poorman's steak, pan fried chicken (my gran kicked tushy with the chicken!), dressing, mash pots with gravy (yours truly was the brown butter kid, thank you!!) veggies, date pudding (no one makes date pudding like my little Gran) tapicoa (I'll eat it only under diress! LOL!! Besides it leaves more for those the LOVE it...see how unselfish I am!) pies and the infinite SCHNITZ PIES! What a hoot it would be when the schnitz pies would come out, my dad would become a pit bull! Inventory was taken!! LOL!! It was Grandmom's labor of love. Brings back such good feelings...ok, I'm off track - Sorry!! We had brown heavy plates that would come out every holiday...sometimes she'd spice it up and we'd have the apple plates or the peach plates and the green glasses. What a great presentation it would be!! I loved holidays...then when we'd have turkey and ham at Thanksgiving, ham at Christmas her house would smell so good. I have the best childhood memories. I love my family!!

Here I go again, writing a novel!! Sorry to put you to sleep but I like to blab on and on! :)

Peace...

I'm just wild about...

That title makes me laugh. I don't know why, it just does. Gosh, what on earth can you blog about work? Not a thing. I'm really trying to post daily and it's just a struggle to come up with things to gab about. So...

I've got a show tonight. I'm pretty excited, I haven't done a show since December and that was more a buffet, they ate, I talked a bit...not my normal show which I loved!! I enjoy just listening to all the chit chat. It's so much fun when everyone around you is talking about their favorite products or newbies that are completely overhelmed. I met my hostess tonight at the open house I did in November. She's super sweet and I'm pretty pumped. This morning on the way to work it started to snow. It's been down right cold for days and it picks today to snow! LOL!! Oh well, I assured her that we are going to have a great time no matter what.

I'm trying to come with some ideas for like a food club. I know with stamping, there is stamp clubs or stamp camps. I just know there has to be something in the food line. I'm racking my brain but the "storm" hasn't hit. I could do something with the Gourmet Gab, but what?! I discovered some TS consultants on the google blog search, pretty awesome!! I have to say that Tastefully Simple is the best home based business, low inventory, low start up cost and fits where ever you need it to. It's been 4 years. Mon asked me to come up with the Beer Bread Extravagnza for next month. Fun!! I've got to come up with something orginal!! I did a salsa bread last year, it was ok...nothing to write home about. Something with cheese...hmm! Oh well stayed tuned.

This little town I live in, well, the town officials crack me up. I left a message last Thursday for them to call me to make sure they received my check, yeah, I got the message today! LOL!! You just have to love small town living. Sigh...glad I wasn't worried or anything?!

I have to go get my things together and put together a hostess kit. My hostess for Saturday wants to try some new things. She's a repeat hostess and big dollars...she can have whatever she wants. :)

Till tomorrow...peace out!

Monday Monday

What a great day! I love that we are slowing down a bit at work. I love getting done at a decent time. A couple of the guys that use to work on the docks came to visit. It was great to see them. It's unreal how fast time goes, but it does.

I'm still on the search for scrap booking ideas! I was in a store last week that had scrap booking for dummies, I shoud have picked up a copy! I've got a goal in mind...I'm going to be done with my Germany scrapbook this year! Enough already, I've got to move on! It's been 10 years....holy smokes! It seems like yesterday. We had a great time. I think I'll use that as my post in March. :) Hopefully I'll have news to say...I'M DONE! :)

Well...off to eat dinner and get things ready for my show tomorrow evening. Goodness, I haven't done a party for over a month...yikes!!

Happy Monday! God Bless...

Hugs,
Lisa

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Happy 2008! It's been 2 long years since I last posted. I'm a big time slacker. Blogging is now the big thing and I'm joining the ranks. I'm not going to waste space with catching up on 2 years worth of life so I'm starting with today.

It's a beautiful cold morning, just got off the phone with my mom. Talked to my neice Kara who wanted me to listen to her tricks she taught her dogs on her gaming system. She's a crack up! Talked with my brother, I had to share with him what one of the girls (I scrapbook with) said about him when he was a kid...he liked to smooch all the little girls on the school bus in kindergarten!! Howling...he's like...I don't remember that I was shy. Yeah right!! Too cute. He was a little cutie. Gosh that was like almost 30 years ago. That's unbelievable.

The weekend has been good! We had a get together with "the boyfriend's" big family (aunts uncles cousins) yesterday. What a great time! It's so amazing how fast the little ones are growing and there will be more coming this year. There was so much food. Speaking of which, in my world (hence the title), I should just know better! Ok, Friday when I get done with work this is my plan of action..I'm going to get my dressing made for my taco salad (yum), get my meatballs made so all I have to do is put in a crock pot in the AM, the get together is not till one. Ok cool so here I go...Check, dressing done! Check, got everything to make meatballs...um, well.. meatballs look too big so I'll make them a bit smaller to make more. Hello, you bought cheap hamburger...they're going to shrink...UGH!! Are you serious?! These meatballs looked pitiful. I can't feed these to people. I'm freaking out. I don't have time to go the store. I decided I'm feeding this to "the boyfriend", he loves me and won't judge! I had stuff to make spoon bread so I was safe. Aww, life is always interesting in my world. But wait it gets better....lol...

Ok, so I'm really trying to work on time management in my personal life. Really, I get in all kinds of brew ha-ha's when I dilly dally. Now, mind you...I have the invitation on the fridge of what time the gathering is, ok! Why would I want to look at that to confirm the time because I read it once and it said one. I get up in the AM, make coffee, I'm playing around on the computer because I've decided I want to start my blog up again, looking at the time...oh I've got plenty...start some laundry...time, we're good...play around some more, now I'm getting frustrated because I can't figure anything out. I'm technically challenged. I have to walk away...time, well I better get my spoon bread put together, rinse the lettuce....time, good...fold clothes and check the dvr to see what taped. Found a show and started watching...time, we're good...10:55am "the boyfriend" walks in...hello (this is me) what are you doing here so early it's not till one, he said no it isn't it's 12:30! WHAT...ARE YOU SERIOUS?! Holy crap, now I gotta get my arse moving. Sigh...I looked at the invite and sure enough, 12:30 it said. Where or why did I program 1:00 in my head...some days its just scary being me. :) Needless to say, we weren't too terribly late and had a great time! I love his family, it's so fun...kids run around like maniacs, all the girls gathered around a table chatting and catching up, the men...well, being men...I asked what they dished about, oh nothing really. Can you say "whatever!"....life is good!

Well, off to blog land. I'm trying to find some good scrap booking sites. Know any, please help. That my friends is another story in my world. Till then...Happy Sunday and lots of love!

The day before New Year's Eve 2005

Man did this week go fast!! Busy as usual...I can't believe that there is only one more day left for December and 2005! WOW! It's wild!

Ok KTYack...did I do my adopt-a-pet right?! I think my little poppi is SO cute!! Love her!! If so, then I'm gonna adopt the hamster too!! Stink'n cute!!

So let's see...we are going to go over to Jeff's sister's tomorrow night so Mitchell can babysit the little ones so the adults can play cards, games whatever!! It's so nice to have a built in babysitter. Hopefully I won't hear the words...I'm....BORED! :) If I do, he goes to the basement and is chained to a pole (any pole will do)! LOL!!

Till next year!!! Have fun, stay safe and lots of love!!

The interesting side of life

Gosh, I guess I need to do a year in review! It's only been almost 6 months since I posted last. Hope my girlies are happy now!! You know who you are....

Let's see what's happened since July.....

July flew by....at the end of July beginning of August we do the annual C fishing trip to Lac Kipawa in Quebec. It's a week of roughing it. Really it isn't too bad, there is indoor plumbing and a shower in the cabin. The only bummer is that the electric is run off a generator and it's shut down @11:00. We have a great time. This year we had a girls boat and a guys boat. Talk about fun! Of course we did have only one man on our boat and that was the captain! You eat, fish, eat, fish and go to bed! :) Jeff was happy to have me on another boat because I'm a sissy and will not bait my own hook. Ewwww...gross me out!! Isn't that what a boyfriend is for?!

August...not too much happened. It flew by! Just plain old work, work, work!! I swear!

September...there was an addition to the S family...Baby Finn bounced into the world on the 15th. He's a cutie!! Miss Annika loves her brother. Another b-day has come and gone. 40...I still can't believe I'm not a forty something...augh...I found out that I have an under active thyroid, so I got to start taking medication on my birthday...if that doesn't depress you! The gal I work with had a suprise luncheon for me. It was very nice and so thoughtful of her. I got lots of flowers. It really was a nice day. Even if I was depressed!

October...there are lots of birthdays this month. We took Mitchell to Chuck E Cheese. He loves that place! It's just so noisy you about go cuckoo! There was an addition to the H family...Baby Anderson decided to make his entrance in October instead of November...He was born on October 29th. He, too, is a cutie pie! He has two pooches at home that couldn't wait to see him (Max & Libby that is).

November...not too much except work and Thanksgiving! Although the night before Turkey Day we were hit with a snow storm and my wonderful boyfriend came and got me, took me to the store to get my groceries for my food the next day! Isn't that wonderful?! I thought so. We went to Dad's for Thanksgiving and had a blast. We always do! :) I was on vacation the week after T-Day so it was fun. I went to lunch with friends I haven't seen in a while. I enjoyed it. I went to a movie (just me myself & I) to see HP4. Loved it. Most people freak out about going to the movies alone. Hey...why wait for someone to go with you. Let them gawk at you, who cares! I'm there to see the movie. Plus most of the movies I like, my other half doesn't!! I did the same thing with Star Wars. :)

December...can you believe it's almost over?! Yikes...it's unreal. I'm not ready for 2006. I guess it really doesn't matter if I am or not it'll be here regardless. I had the week of Christmas off so I was busy running around like a mad woman. I was in panic mode because some of my presents weren't here yet. I went to lunch with friends and then we did a little shopping. Then I put on lots of miles between my house and Canton! :) We had Christmas with Jeff's family on Christmas Eve. I was so fun. Mitchell couldn't take it much longer without tearing open his gifts. Annika...she's 2 and so darn cute. The little boys will be lots more fun next year, although they're both little snuggle bugs. :) We then had Christmas with my family at my cousins house. It was so nice!! We had tons of food! My girls are growing like weeds!! They each did a little Christmas diddy! Filled my heart with joy. Each of them are so talented. It's so wonderful. It was so fun this year, Dory made drawstring bags. We all have a dory original! I get so excited thinking of what good things Dory will make at Christmas. She has our grandmothers knack for crocheting. :) The other thing that really touched my heart was the collage that Jeff made with Gran and all of us together. I love her smile. It made me cry! I, of course, can't forget my jewels!! I'm stylin' baby!! I have Mel's orginal jewels and diamonds! LOVE them both!
It truly was a great Christmas and I enjoyed being with my family.

2006...Sigh...it's almost here...what will next year bring?! :) I hope lots of wonderful things! I should make one prediction...to do better at my blogs so that the 3 Y's don't beat me silly!! Love you all!!

Now to sign off...till.......................... :) :) :)

Life or something like that....

It seems like this week is dragging....It's hard to realize that it's been a week since the funeral...

My dad's birthday was yesterday...My aunt sent him a birthday card that Grannie had for him...she was always on top of things...I really need to be like that. I'm HORRIBLE about cards. A friend of mine at work lost her father on Sunday and calling hours are today. I'm going to go after work. It'll be tough but I need to do this whether I want to or not.

I spent the evening with my Dad, Lynne, my brother and his "friend" and Alex. We went to a great resturant in downtown Canton. It was really good. I think this is a keeper. Went back to their house and just hung out. It was nice.

I had a great surprise yesterday...my little munchkins popped in and IM'd me yesterday at work and made my day!! You know who you are!! xxxooo

Well...maybe I'll post again at lunch...breaks over!
